Local food, shared land, stronger lives
Rooted in Community
At Grow Gurnard, we believe in reconnecting people with nature, communities, and the food they eat. Based in Gurnard on the Isle of Wight, our mission is to encourage local residents to take an active role in growing their own food, while also improving health, well-being, and access to green spaces.
We are a group of local families who are keen to contribute to our local community whilst having a positive environmental impact. As part of the planning permission for the next phase of Meadow View housing, a 10 Ha area of farm land is designated for Nature. We have agreement to use 1 Ha of that land for a community farm operating on organic regenerative principles. Our goal is to create a community farm on the land above Gurnard meadow near Cockleton Lane. We are a registered Community Interest Company (CIC)
